November 2000 - January 2001

Greetings from Elaine Craft

Welcome Back

Summer is over and the meetings have re-started as all of our fellow carvers are returning from up north.

November 3 &4 2000

Our first event of the year was a demonstration at Broadway Hardware for their outdoor market days.

Maxine Blanchard, Margaret Maywood and Jack Caywood conducted the demonstration and handed out information on our Rally 2001 show.

Shriners Christmas Ornaments

All year we have been carving Christmas Ornaments and have donated them to the Shriners.

The Shriners have decorated two Christmas trees with our ornaments for a raffel Dec. 22 2000. The trees will be raffeled off in the Shriners money raising efforts to help with the costs of transporting sick children to the Houston Hospital for treatment.

I am very proud of our carvers for the beautiful work they did on each of the ornaments.

January 12 & 13 2001

Show time is approching and once again we anticipate a very good show.

These shows are a great opportunity to demonstrate to the public our wonderfull carvers talents. Also the show affords us a chance to sell a few items.

We need your partication to ensure a large variety of as many items as possible.

Table costs are minimal, so lets show our beautifull carving.

January 22 through January 28, 2001

Work has begun on the Rally and as we all know this is a very large undertaking.

Elaine craft is asking for vounteers to help with setting up tables, selling raffle tickets, selling coffee and donuts, working at the registration desk signing in new students and keeping track of information on new classes. We also need night security, Bob Parke has voluntered to head security again and he needs your help.

We need raffel items to help with the cost of the hall - Can You help?

We also need warm weather so lets all keep our fingers crossed for hot weather the week of the show.
